But why? I mean, what do you use it for?

Sustain shouldn't be an issue with all those fuzz pedals, and the squishy attack could be part of the inherent tone of at least some of them. 

Is it a viable option for trimming some fizzyness? Or what else?

 

I'm just curious, I'm experimenting with a compressor for the first time. I'm using a Kemper and I'm trying to learn what a compressor could bring if placed before or after the amp.

I mostly use it with Zonk, with comp I can get a bit more gain but same time  it's very focused. With GE Box it's too noisy. 

JAM Dynassor is good with fuzzes / overdrives etc..

And with wah it's great!
