Sounds great.. like anything would in the right hands 

I may have missed some parts, but the gain seems to be cranked up all the time and you clean it up rolling back the guitar vol.

How would this pedal perform used as a light overdrive, I mean with a lower gain and the guitar vol full up?

As you saw I had gain full, but "balance/blend" half way, so there was quite lot clean signal also with overdrive tonez, that combination is great, me like 

It´s a great low gainer of course!
