Ne ho uno che è sempre andato bene,ma da qualche giorno il lato fuzz non ne vuol sentire di suonare,nonostante sia santificato   , e gracchia solamente.

Il lato Beano Boost va come sempre una meraviglia.

 

Sostituito la pila (zinco carbon), sempre uguale.

Ho provato a spippolare sul trimmer interno, nada.

 

Cosa può essere?

 

Dimenticavo lo fa in posti diversi quindi non è un problema di impianto.

True Bypass on both sides

Two 3PDT stomp switches, one for each side. Either or both can be used.

Status LED on each side.

Your choice of Germanium transistors, selected for best tone and low noise on Sunface side.

NOS Germanium transistor, selected for best tone and low noise on Beano side.

High quality RE’AN British input and output jacks, top mounted for pedalboards.

Battery disconnected when INPUT cord removed (input is on the right).

Sun Dial bias control is standard.

Optional ON/OFF battery switch integrated into BEANO VOL knob, so you don't have to unplug pedal if it’s in a pedalboard.

No standard Power jack as these are detrimental to the ultimate tones, and dangerous due to positive ground. See our Sunface page for more info on powering positive ground pedals.

Battery should be a cheap non-alkaline general purpose battery, as found in the dollar stores. These will sound better than an alkaline.

Size is 4.75" wide, 3.75" long, and 1.5" tall not including switch etc (about 2 1/8" tall to the switch).

This effect should not have any non-true bypass effects in front of it. Otherwise, the fuzz’s cleanup function will not work well.

Also available with four jack option, if you want to use a switching system, change the order, or put other pedals in between these two effects. I find that the reverse order (Beano -> Sun Face) is really good for more normal fuzz sounds and you can do that with the 4 jack option by plugging input into the left side (Beano) and adding one short patch cord from Beano output to SunFace input. .

Secondo me i rangemaster, nonostante siano al germanio, ne risentono proprio meno delle variazioni di temperatura rispetto ai vari fuzz.

Ma la cosa più importante adesso é capire se il solleone funziona, la cura frigor com'e andata? Il trim interno e tipo un controllo bias?

Suono oggi pomeriggio, così verifico se l'ibernazione ha dato frutti.

Il trim interno determina la quantità di fuzz da 0 a 100 da mandare al potenziometro esterno.

Pero na cosa: quando tornerà piano piano a temperatura ambiente e al caldo di questi giorni ricomincerà a svalvolare?

Pure tu hai ragione, ma co sto caldo infernale il mio Stroll On, come pure il Fuzz Face, sono assolutamente inascoltabili, mentre i miei Rangemaster sono ancora suonabili....è buffo ma è così .

Probabilmente lo hai già letto, anzi sicuramente, ma...

 

SUN knob: This is the knob in the center of the pedal’s SUN FACE, also called the Sun Dial. It is set by us to the “sweet spot” for the fuzz, just under 5 volts on the High transistor at about 70 degrees temperature. It is set with the mark at 12:00 on the SUN knob. You may try other settings, you can turn it down to get a stuttering, weak fuzz sound which can sometimes be useful. Or turn it up for a harder, less fuzzy sound. If you have a voltmeter, you can test the voltage so you can keep it set where you want it. Put the (+) lead to ground, one of the screw holes on the case will work. Put the (-) lead to the HIGH transitor leg closest to R23 (says VOLT-> on the picture, pointing to the correct leg). About 5 volts is best for cleaner sounds. I would not set it too high, much over 6 or 7 volts. When it is set at 4.5 to 5 volts, it is the same circuit as the original 1968 germanium fuzzface. You may find you need to turn it down (CCW) at higher temperatures, and up (CW) at lower temperatures. This BIAS adjustment allows it to work well at any temperature.

 

In teoria, se tutto fosse a posto, con il Sun lo dovresti far suonare a tutte le temperature. Se volessi essere sicuro ed avessi un piccolo tester potresti misurare il bias e riportarlo a 5 volt come di fabbrica e poi ruotarlo in senso antiorario fino a trovare il punto giusto...

 

se tutto questo non desse i risultati sperati allora bisognerà matterci le mani...

A me è capitato con un tonebender.... Souncheck di pomeriggio al sole, pedaliera incandescente e TB inascoltabile (ho anche un controllo del bias, ma niente...). Concerto alla sera, temperatura più umana e TB che suonava come al solito. Secondo me se lo metti in frigo oggi, ma ci suoni domani pomeriggio al sole non risolvi

Quando è caldo non risolvi a nulla regolando il bias....il peggiore che ho avuto è stato un ox cromato....d'estate te lo dovevi proprio scordare...

grazie non lo avevo letto, col tester però sono una chiavica, quindi non posso fare ste misurazioni.

Ma tutti i fuzz al germanio sclerano a questi livelli per tutta l'estate o solo quelli con componenti nos?
